Victory Vision Motorcycle Victory Bikes do Luxury Touring
The Victory Vision Motorcycle, see the future of motorcycle touring from Victory Bikes.

I had to include the Victory Vision Motorcycle on the site as it's just such a confident move by the relatively young Victory Motorcycles. Still showing the gorgeous v-twin, it's as though the rest of the bike were given over to an art class, who managed to sneak it past the sign off committee and, before anyone could notice it was in the showrooms. I saw one of these at the Eurotunnel terminal in France, although it did have to park up in the spaces reserved for cars towing caravans of course! Here are some reviews of the Vision:

"There’s no doubt you get a lot of bike for the money – it’s a brilliant way for you and a pillion to cover miles in style. It makes the Harley-Davidson Electra Glide feel and look cheap as well as riding better, and it’s considerably cheaper than the Honda GL1800 Goldwing, though the Honda boasts six-cylinder power and even more toys."

"Each line and element of this motorcycle-from the arch of the passenger grab rail to the wave-like engine portal-blends into the next. The attention to detail is astounding. Take the underside of the passenger floorboards, for example: They're stylized to stream artistically with the bike's overall flow when folded up out of use. Whether you love or hate the aesthetic result, this bike is a feast for spectators, though happily the Victory Vision Motorcycle is not a book that's all cover."

"Powering the beast is a 1731cc air-cooled engine making 92 horsepower and 109 ft-lbs of torque. Using closed loop fuel injection, the throttle response is superb, and with the four-valve engine using counter balancers it’s also very smooth. These valves are hydraulically adjusted, as with the cam chain, and the unit engine takes power to the back wheel via belt drive for ultra low maintenance."

"The futuristically styled Victory Vision Tour has attracted its own following since its launch in 2007 and, whether you love it or hate it, there is no denying it has road presence aplenty. The gorgeous, russet red paintwork on this very limited edition 10th Anniversary model, which harkens back to the first Victory to roll off the production line, has been enhanced with all the bells and whistles, as well as premium chrome, exclusive badging, billet wheels and sprocket, a custom stitched seat and backrest, and chromed, fluted exhaust tips."

"Styled in part by legendary bike customizers Arlen and Cory Ness, the Vision is aimed at long-distance touring riders and is meant to compete with models like the Honda Goldwing, Harley-Davidson ElectraGlide Ultra Classic, and BMW K1200LT. It is as luxurious and rider-pampering as it is outrageous to look at."

"There’s no need to panic if you happen to drop your heavy Vision. Crash guards are mounted to the frame and artfully concealed beneath the foot boards. Next time you find yourself in a Victory dealership I defy you to stop the salesman from tipping a Vision over to demonstrate that no damage is done during such an event. Of course the salesman’s next trick will be to have you pick the bike up, so he can demonstrate that due to the bikes low center of gravity, with a bit of help, you can actually manage to right the 900 + lb (wet) leviathan."
