KTM Motorcycles Home of the KTM RC8, SMT, Superduke & Adventure
KTM motorcycles, the coolest KTM reviews are here. Austrian motorcycles turning the world orange.
KTM Motorcycles was founded in 1934 by engineer Hans Trunkenpolz in Mattighofen. It started out as a metalworking shop and was named Kraftfahrzeug Trunkenpolz Mattighofen. It wasn't until 1953 that KTM began production of bikes.Throughout KTM's history, they have been on the leading edge of motorcycle technology and have been known for years as a manufacturer of serious off-road bikes. More recently, they have broadened out very successfully into road bikes and, with that dirt-bike history, the road bikes have inherited some of the hard-core image (along with the benefits of quality components and durability). KTM's first superbike was well worth the wait; the RC8 (and RC8R) was both stunning in design but also one of the first sports bikes to offer adjustable ergonomics. They have certainly given some of the established road bike manufacturers something to think about. Oh, and much like Ducati's have to be red, if it's a KTM then you'll be seeing it in orange !
KTM RC8
There's no mistaking the eye catching looks of the RC8. Sharp design with comprehensive electronic instrumentation, under chassis exhaust and a roomier ride position than japanese litre superbikes thanks to adjustable sub-frame, pegs and bars.
KTM RC8
KTM 990 Adventure
One of KTM's most impressive road bikes, updated over the years from 950cc to 990cc, gaining improved seat comfort and a revised crank along the way. Taking on the GS crowd with style and off road credibility.

KTM SMT
New for 2009, KTM's SMT takes the Supermoto and turns it into a performance all rounder. Lower seat, reduced suspension travel and an upper fairing all improve day to day use and bespoke fabric panniers can be clipped onto the exhaust heat shields. Legroom looks good for pillions too.
KTM SMT
KTM Superduke
A sharp handling, performance street bike using the second generation 990cc V-twin familiar elsewhere in the KTM range. Aggressively styled and fitted with the usual quality components we expect from KTM.
KTM Superduke
KTM SMR
A fantastic sportsbike for the road, upgraded now to KTM's 990 engine from the previous 950 KTM Supermoto. Huge fun, with power and handling combining to make to SMR amazingly flickable through the twisties.
KTM 990 SMR
KTM Duke
A bike that requires total commitment on the part of the rider and makes no compromises. Have a bunch of hairpins to negotiate at speed ? You'll be wanting the KTM 690 Duke.
