HP2 Enduro BMW creates the Super Enduro
HP2 Enduro, Reviews of the first of the BMW HP high performance enduro bikes.

Enduro - from motorcycle.com
"Though it was a bit intimidating, I had a great time aboard the HP-2. It generated a lot of looks at the track and surprised several riders as it blasted past them throwing 90hp worth of roost. As an added bonus, it was the only bike there that could have been ridden home at the end of the day. "

"when designing the High Performance Enduro, BMW engineers decided to take the strong points of the GS and incorporate them into the much lighter HP2. For a rough breakdown, basically what they took was the engine, driveshaft and variations of the brakes, wheels, tires and front end bodywork. Colossal differences in the two machines are found primarily in the frame design and suspension components."

"This is smooth, controllable, useable power, and a boatload of it. Chug along a gear (or two) too high, or downshift and rev the wee out of it, the Beemer simply doesn’t care. Just be prepared for the velocities attained. BMW claims a top speed of 125 mph."

""It's like going to a gunfight with a cannon." That's how our inside source at BMW described the latest from Munich's motorcycle mavens, the HP2. Think of it as an R1200GS that got lost in the North African desert and had to mutate into a no-foolin' 105-horsepower dirtbike in order to survive."
Cool motorcycle? Have Your Say........
What do YOU think of this motorcycle? Do you love it or have they got it all wrong? If so, why?
Maybe you've seen it, ridden it, or, even better, you own one and have lived with it for a while.
Share your opinions, tell readers about the good, the bad, your likes and dislikes. Share your story and even upload a few pics of you and your motorcycle.
Go on, don't be shy! After all, I've never met a biker without an opinion or one who hasn't been proud to show off their motorbike given half a chance!
There's not much around to compete with the HP2 Enduro (especially at 1200cc!), these two are worth a look though if you are after something with more of an on-road bias:
Ducati Hypermotard
Moto Morini Scrambler
