Aprilia are one of the seven marques owned by Piaggio, the world's fourth largest motorcycle manufacturer.
Aprilia started as a scooter manufacturer, but have more recently come to be known for their race-winning sportbikes, taking on the likes of Ducati. Having ventured into sports touring with the angular Futura and into the GS market with the Caponord, they are best known for the flagship 1000 cc V-twin Superbike, the RSV Mille and latest V4 based RSV4.
The arrival of the RSV4 confirms Aprilia’s determination to compete at the highest levels. Aprilia have now accumulated a total of 40 world championship titles, including 33 in MotoGP.
